Ever since I started in the jewelry business, I have been intrigued by the stories behind the customers that I have helped. I am always delighted when my customers open up to me and share with me the story behind their purchase. I have heard so many wonderful stories.

These are only a few examples of the hundreds of stories that customers have told me in person, over the phone, and in emails as I have worked with them to find the right piece of jewelry to show the love they feel. The romance and beauty of the story is what really impresses me. As a jeweler, I am surrounded by some of the most amazing examples of natural and man-made beauty on a daily basis. I have held rare diamonds and gemstones that have taken my breath away; as I beheld the beauty of the stone. However, all of this beauty pales in comparison to the beautiful stories of love, affection, and friendship that accompany so many of the pieces that we sell.
I have come to see that the jewelry itself holds a beauty that is cold and meaningless until it is combined with the love, passion, and friendship that changes that piece of cold jewelry into a beautiful gift, an expression of love from the giver to the receiver. The hope diamond, in all its glory, cannot move the heart like the white gold engagement ring, bound up with the promise of life-long love and commitment. It is this love that makes the jewelry worth its value, it is this love that moves the heart to give such a gift.
As a jeweler, I am so privileged when my customers open the window into their lives for a moment, and allow me to be a part of these amazing experiences in their lives. To me, this is the most rewarding part of what I do everyday, and seeing people express their love for one another in the form of a beautiful gift, such as jewelry, is an amazingly rewarding privilege for all of us at Emma Parker & Co.
